Last week our favorite designer Giambattista Valli showed his couture collection in Paris Couture Week, and as we expected he did not let us down. Although his actual words were “I don’t work for museums, I don’t work for archives — I really work to dress real women,” frankly, his designs had a super-real quality to them. The show closed with three voluminous tulle gowns with endless trains , with hundreds of yards of pleated tulle, and with this seasons fabulous pastel hues. The collection theme was inspired by the British Garden, and it was all about romantic styles clashing with modern elements such as vinyl over the knee boots. But , let's face it, that finale was everything!
